3 Galleries, 4 days, 500 works

Wentworth Galleries is holding a 4 day art extravanganza in the Sydney CBD.

Art exhibitions usually showcase the work of 1 artist. We're going to do something a little bit different and showcase the work of more than 60 artists.

From 3pm on Thursday the 7th of May until 6pm on Sunday the 11th of May we're hosting a general showing of Australian Art in 3 great Gallery locations. (all within a 100 metres of one another) 

We hope you can join us at some time over the 4 days for a glass of wine or a coffee, and have a look at a vast range of beautiful artwork.

Showing at the Sofitel Wentworth
A general viewing of our collection showcasing works by John Maitland, Pro Hart, Jacquline Fowler, Mel Brigg, Peter Coad, Elizabeth Durack, Ken Knight, Palla Jeroff, Peter McQueeney, Colin Parker and more.

Showing at 6 Bligh Street
A superb range of vibrant works by Ben Stack, Linda Vario, Nada, Peter Browne, Rebecca Pierce, Paul Battams, Robert Fisher, Arthur James, Amanda, Robert Stopa and many more.
Also on display will be a few stockroom clearance items at very attractive prices. (A couple of pieces at 50% off - for 4 days only)

Showing at O'connell Street (Enter Bligh St)
If you're interested in Aboriginal Art this is the place to start the gallery tour. An important exhibition showcasing some highly collectable works by some of the true pioneers of modern aboriginal art along with paintings by a new wave of indigenous art stars. On display will be works by Barbara Weir, Makinti Napanangka, Gloria Petyarre, Kudditji Kngwarreye, Minnie Pwerle, Lily Kelly, Kathleen Petyarre, Elizabeth Marks, Jeannie Petyarre, Betty Mbitjana, Thomas Tjapaltjarri, Judy Watson, Ningura Napurrula, Ngoia Pollard, Lorna Fencer, Elizabeth Nyumi, Ronnie Tjampitjinpa, Dorothy Napangardi, Damien & Yilpi Marks, Abie Loy and many more.

The Government announced on 3 February 2009 a special tax deduction for the cost of new tangible depreciating assets including new art works.
