Casual Art Consultant – Wentworth Galleries, Brisbane

Wentworth Galleries Brisbane is home to a close-knit, high-performing team of passionate arts professionals. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Casual Art Sales Consultant to join our beautiful gallery, based in the heart of Brisbane City. In this role, you’ll be a key part of enhancing the visitor experience and delivering outstanding client service, while presenting the gallery at its very best.

This position is 2-3 days per week, 10am - 6pm or 1pm - 9pm and includes some extra evening shifts for events. This position requires flexibility, as we operate 7 days a week and host evening exhibitions and events. Weekend and after-hours work will be required, as agreed.

What We’re Looking For:

●  A highly organised individual with a passion for art and prior experience in a gallery or similar arts-focused environment

●  Solid knowledge of Australian, First Nations Australian, and international art

●  A confident communicator who enjoys building relationships with new and existing

clients

●  Technologically savvy, with experience using platforms (or similar) such as Artcloud,

Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative tools

●  Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings for exhibitions and events

●  Ability to multitask, think creatively, and perform well under pressure within a small

team and occasionally work alone

What You’ll Be Doing:

●  Welcoming and engaging all visitors, ensuring they enjoy an exceptional gallery experience

●  Managing sales and inquiries in person, online, and over the phone

●  Handling logistical and administrative tasks, including coordinating framing of works,

couriers, and deliveries

●  Performing hands-on tasks such as moving artworks, installing and de-installing

exhibitions, painting, cleaning, and maintaining an organised stockroom

●  Liaising and coordinating with our colleagues in Sydney
